MBA-Programm
General
What were you doing before your MBA?
I worked three years as an apprentice for the Kellogg (Deutschland) GmbH and studied at the same time at a university of corporate education in Bremen, Germany. After these three years I went to Australia for some time and continued after coming back with studies for my Diploma at the University of Applies Science in Osnabrück. While this time i worked part time as an accuntant in the AgS GmbH (Company for personal restructering services). After finishing my diploma I spend another 7 month working for tesa AG in Hamburg in the International Marketing Consumer department working as an intern there.
What were your reasons to continue at business school?
The last degree I hold in Germany was a degree from the old system named Diplomkauffau (FH). Recently the degrees changed and in a couple of years everbody will only speak about bachelor and masters. So i wanted an international valid degree from the actual system.
Additionally it was my ambition to study abroad. I have already plenty of experience abroad but I wanted to experience student live abroad. So only a programme with international participants and other countries was suitable for me.

Summary
Please state your overall result about mba an your business school.
Since the IMBA is devided into two parts, I will evaluated them seperately:
1. Bremen: Our class consisted of 17 people from all over the world. It was truly international, we had something like ten different nations in this class.
The staff from the ICG realy cared for us. The situation in the ICG is special, since this building is completely sperated from the normal 'Hochschule' (University). In this building are only international studies. May be 6 to 7 different international courses. So the atmosphere was really good. The service was excelent, especially for the students from abroad. We had seminars for team building and it worked we were a great team.
Classes: In the first semester we had the general subjects like HR and so on. We had professors from all over the world. All of them were very experienced and very applied. Appart from the generall subjects we had a lot of classes to shape us personally. We had classes for negotiation skills, leadership but as well topics like six sigma and more. For these we had external speakers who very highly experienced in their fields. We had almost every day classes ane sometimes aditionally at the weekend.
2. Semester Spain Valencia:
In the second semester I studied in Valencia, Spain. Spain was a great experience for me and I loved Valencia. My extension over there was International Marketing which was divided into four sub courses. The workload was high but manageable and the class very were good as well. The facilities were good and we had apart from our daily professors many guestspeakers from local or international companies to give us a real inside view to the topics.
Overall I can say until now the money invested was worth it and I learned a lot. In about half a year I can report my experiences with this degree and the German market.
Any other comments?
That's it.
