A range of assessment methods are used throughout the programme. Students are required to undertake a variety of group and individual based assessments throughout the duration of the programme. These assessments include essays, reports, presentations and examinations. The assessments are designed to test knowledge and understanding of the appropriate subject matter, and to demonstrate a range of skills.
The Applied Management Project will allow considerable autonomy for participants to design their approaches to a management problem. The project will be commenced in learning sets which will have the task of breaking a business/management problem into its constituent parts to enable analysis. Students will divide responsibility for problem analysis amongst themselves. Each student will then investigate the aspect of the problem over which they have ownership, and, using their own and shared data, will produce a management report on their findings. The report will mix appropriate theory with practical investigation.
