Master of Business Administration (executive part time)
Programm
Although we have a single “Bradford MBA” philosophy that revolves around shared faculty and modules, we offer you three pathways through the programme – full-time, executive part-time and distance learning. We therefore have a pathway to suit your personal circumstances. Recognising that these can change during the programme, we allow you to move between pathways. You may take between one and six years to complete the Bradford MBA. All three pathways have a common standard, and are organised into the same three stages. Stage 1 contains compulsory modules that provide a thorough grounding in the disciplines of management and a framework for the rest of the MBA. They furnish the knowledge, skills and techniques you can use to improve business performance. During Stage 1 you begin work on your personal development portfolio, which you will continue to develop throughout the programme. During Stage 1 you also complete three integrative modules, in business economics and accounting, operations and marketing management, and people in organisations. In Stage 2, you select five electives from a wide range of modules offered. The electives provide you with the opportunity to enhance and deepen your knowledge and skills in the areas that particularly interest you or will advance your career in the future. Stage 2 ends with the optional business game elective, which is an interactive exercise that encourages you to bring together all you have learned so far. Stage 3 of your MBA is the management project – an original and detailed investigation of a specific business management issue, for which you begin preparation during Stage 2 of the programme. The management project enables you to put the knowledge and skills you have gained throughout the programme to practical use on a relevant management issue.
