Programm

Our part-time delivery modes for the Executive MBA are designed to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of busy professionals juggling career and other commitments with study. Eight taught modules are taken in a minimum of two years and a maximum of four; the rate of progression being determined by the amount of time the student can commit to study. Modules are delivered in two ways:
Intensive seven-day blocks offered five times per year, usually in University vacations
Evening teaching, two nights per week during the usual University terms
Students may take whichever combination of evening or block modules suits them best. Clicking on the list at the head of this page will take you to one giving more details about that particular mode of study and its modules.
The syllabus of the part-time programmes has the same global outlook and international dimension as that for the full-time programme. Each module is designed to ensure that students are exposed to both the operational and the strategic aspects of management disciplines through the use of a variety of teaching methods including, lectures, case analysis, and discussion sessions.
Entry is usually possible at any point at which a module is delivered, giving seven possible starting points each year. When the taught modules have been completed, a dissertation is then submitted to complete the requirements for the award of the degree. The subject of the dissertation can be related to the student's work environment or to an area of interest to the student's employer, which may encourage the employer to support the student taking the programme with time-off or financial aid.
