Aims of the programme:
To build on the student’s academic progress to date and achieve a critical appreciation of the relationship between human resource management and business strategy, using the business partner and other models.
To develop understanding of the role of theory in human resource management and how to apply theory to meet organisational needs.
To provide an opportunity to develop operational knowledge and critical awareness in a specialised area of human resource management.
To develop thinking in a coherent and disciplined manner in order to contribute to a strategic approach and to support the student’s ability to demonstrate senior management capability.
To approach research activity in a scholarly way, to understand its complexity and show competence in using research to support organisational goals.
