Programme Structure
The programme is modular in structure.
This includes:
Five core modules
- The Counsellor as Theorist
- Personal/Interpersonal Perspectives
- Group Work
- Counselling Research Methods
- The Counsellor in Today's World
Three optional modules:
- A range of options is available to enable students to pursue their own particular interests.
Examples include: Cognitive Behavioural Counselling, Brief Counselling, Expressive Arts
Therapies, Counselling Young People, Working with Abuse, Introduction to Supervision
Dissertation
- Completion of a dissertation
It normally takes two to three years to complete part time (one day per week) or one year full time.
