The Business School is a major centre for business and management education. It has a strong regional base and a national and international perspective. With over 4,000 students studying on full and part-time courses, it is one of the largest business schools in the UK. The Business School offers you opportunities for personal development and career enhancement by studying a wide range of vocational undergraduate, professional and postgraduate courses. As a vocational Business School, we place a strong emphasis on our links with business, the professions and the public sector. These links take many forms including: research and consultancy activities, involvement in the activities of professional bodies and links with regional bodies charged with training and development. These links enrich the quality of the learning experience for students on all of our courses and ensure you will acquire vocationally relevant skills and up-to-date knowledge. Our extensive portfolio of flexible and cost effective courses, at all levels, is designed to help you to achieve personal and career goals. Our main subject areas include: Accountancy, Audit, Banking, Business, Finance, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Management, Marketing and Public Relations. In addition, the Department of Computing is attached to this faculty. Studying requires commitment and we are dedicated to providing a supportive and flexible environment in which you can reach your full potential. The Business School has it's own Learner Support Centre with dedicated support staff. They offer individual advice and academic support as well as access to specialist journals, reading list material and company information. The Business School also has its own IT facilities.
